Key Responsibilities:
Arrange international and cross-trade bookings with overseas agents and carrier partners (FCL/LCL).
Confirm and monitor bookings, ensuring all necessary documentation and instructions are communicated accurately.
Provide proactive and regular shipment updates to local clients.
Respond to customer queries, delays, and exceptions promptly with transparency and professionalism.
Track and trace shipments and manage milestone reporting.
Take initiative in resolving operational issues with minimal supervision.
Identify risks or delays and implement contingency plans when necessary.
Maintain and update internal systems with accurate shipment data.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience as a Forwarding Controller or similar role within an NVOCC, freight forwarder, or
logistics company.
Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes, Incoterms, and ocean freight documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and managing multiple shipments simultaneously.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Computer literacy: Proficient in MS Office and freight management systems (CargoWise or similar preferred).
Exposure to handling specific cargo types such as retail or automotive.
